Director, Strategic Communcations; The Goodfriend Group and Emmer Consulting
May 2017 - Present

Primarily consulting for the Sports Fan Coalition, I advise on messaging strategy, campaign development, and government relations. Their issues involve media policy, antitrust, tax reform, player health and safety, and good governance. I have lobbied on SFC's behalf to end the federal subsidy of sports stadium construction, oppose the Sinclair-Tribune broadcasting merger, and to influence the US Soccer Federation presidential election with hopes to elect a candidate who will bring change to the organization. I manage campaigns both on and offline through integrated paid and earned media strategies, such as the Danifesto, where thousands of sports fans in the DMV signed stating they do not want to give their tax dollars to Dan Snyder and the Washington Redskins so that they can build a new stadium.

I am also a consultant for Children's Cause for Cancer Advocacy, DISH Network, and the Weather Channel.

April 2012 - May 2017

In April of 2012, I began consulting for Serving at the Crossroads, an international non-profit supporting a free medical and dental clinic in La Entrada, Honduras. They have served the people there for over a decade and have approached me to help maintain their website, social media strategy, and donor goals.

I also consult for GGV Capital, a venture capital firm specializing in US-China tech businesses, on their social media. I provide them with regular analytical reports and recommendations to help achieve their goals of a strong digital community and becoming a thought-leader in their niche.

Finally, I service two small local businesses in Northern VA Green Grinds Coffee and 49 Dollar Drivers Clinics. I perform a variety of duties surrounding their business goals and digital strategy.

Marketing Consultant; Fishbowl Marketing
December 2016 - May 2017

Managing a portfolio of nine clients encompassing more than 15 restaurant brands, I advise the companies on best practices for digital marketing — especially with regard to email. I gather, analyze, and report on a variety of KPIs including open rates, message volumes, and, most importantly, sales. In addition to this, I am project manager for special projects for clients by facilitating the needs of creatives, production specialists, and data analysts.

AUGUST 2014 - OCTOBER 2016

After a summer internship with the National Association of Home Builders I was hired and put in charge of the social media presence for NAHB — 12 different brands across all the major platforms. I accomplished part of this task by creating a Social Media User Group to facilitate conversations between all the users involved in social media at NAHB. As a part of these meetings I maintained thorough and regular analytic reports for NAHBHome and other brands and created data-based strategy for community engagement, advocacy, and education. I was also in charge of researching and implementing new technologies to create solutions for various weaknesses in our content curation and creation workflows. In September of 2015, in the midst of a reorganization, I joined the website development teamleaving aspects of my social media workto improve our new website. Here I worked in both a custom CMS and Sitecore to regularly update web content important for NAHB's business functions, troubleshoot, and project manage new web developments by facilitating the needs of my stakeholders with the developers.

JUNE 2013 - AUGUST 2013

In the summer of 2013 I decided to participate in an internship opportunity abroad in Dublin, Ireland through a program called Global Experiences. This program was a life changing one and you can read more about my experience here. While my internship was short-lived I learned valuable skills in social media strategy and campaign development. I also worked within Google AdWords and improved clickthrough rates on Progressio: Ireland's ads by 300%. Unfortunately, in early 2014 Progressio: Ireland had to close down.
